Wittenberg University participates in a great variety of study abroad programs. There is nothing more rewarding than to actually use the language you have been working on so diligently. It is also wonderfully enriching to experience the culture surrounding the language. So, of course, study abroad is an important component of foreign language study at Wittenberg. Students in all of the languages not only have the chance to study in a country where their language is spoken, but they are strongly encouraged to do so. Opportunities are readily available to students to go for a semester, a summer, an entire school year, or for a specially designed time period. Of course, when you go on an officially accepted program of study, all the credits transfer to Wittenberg as credit hours toward graduation. Whether it's Chinese in Beijing, French in Dijon, Russian in Moscow, Japanese in Kyoto, German in Berlin, Spanish in Salamanca, or similar study in a variety of other cities, plan on spending time during your junior year in the country of your dreams. We will work with you to get you there.
