Special Interest Award in Dance
Criteria: The Department of Theatre and Dance offers scholarships to incoming students who display exceptional talent and promise in theatre or dance. The Special Interest Award in Dance is renewable annually to students who actively participate in Wittenberg's dance program regardless of major or minor. An audition, headshot/photo, resumé, letter of intent, and letter of reference are required.
Amount: Starting at $1,500 per year.
Students wishing to apply for a Special Interest Award in Dance should contact Professor Corwin Georges, Chair of the Dept. of Theatre and Dance at 937-327-7464 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Dr. Georges will set up the audition for the student, which must be scheduled by March 1.
Applicants are to submit before or on the day of the audition the following: a resume detailing their dance experience and education; a headshot/photo; a letter of reference from a choreographer or dance instructor; and a letter of intent in which the student discusses how participating in dance at Wittenberg will help them achieve their academic, vocational, or personal goals.
