Ready or not, graduation is just around the corner. From now until the Big Day, the Office of Alumni Relations in coordination with the Commencement Committee will provide you with reminders and tips for graduation. Please be sure to read your email and remind your friends to do so as well.
Check your campus mailbox for the Commencement Information Booklet. If you are like the many seniors who only check their campus box once a semester, it is time to make your way to the student center. The Commencement booklet will tell you the dates of graduation, when to pick up tickets and all other important information that your parents have not stopped asking you about since September.
Commencement Breakfast: In keeping with a favorite tradition, a Commencement Breakfast may be offered on Saturday, May 14.

Ticket Pick-up Dates
Please pick up your commencement tickets in the Bayley Alumni House on May 4 and May 5 from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. and May 6 from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. You will need to present your student ID. Each student will be given six (6) tickets to be used if commencement is held inside only. You may petition for additional tickets by sending an email to Brandee Bates, email@example.com. Requests are taken and no guarantees are promised for extra tickets. Any extra tickets awarded may be picked up at the Bayley Alumni House following Senior Salute on Wednesday, May 11. (Rain date: Thursday, May 12)
Tip #5 :
The bell which hangs in the cupola atop of Myers Hall will ring at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. to indicate that commencement will be held OUTSIDE. Please listen closely for the bell...it only rings for three occasions; commencement, the inauguration of a new president, and W day.
Tip #6 :
Should commencement be held inside due to inclement weather conditions and you don't have enough tickets for all of your guests, the ceremony will be held in its entirety on closed-circuit television in Hollenbeck Hall, located across from the HPERC.

Tip #7 :
If you plan on purchasing or have purchased tickets for the commencement breakfast or Mortar Board flowers; pick-up is in the Benham-Pence Student Center at the Student Information Desk.
Parking will be available at the following locations:
- Handicap access only behind Recitation and Carnegie (by way of the Plum Street entrance, E. and W. Campus Drive will be closed)
- Student Center
- Krieg Lot
Access to Commencement Hollow will be restricted until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14. Guests must be seated by 11:00 a.m. *Umbrellas are not permitted as they block the view of others If graduation is held in the HPER center, the doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Special seating has been arranged for the physically disabled at the indoor and outdoor locations.
