With more than 100 members of the Class of 1962 on hand to celebrate their 50th reunion, President Laurie M. Joyner was deeply moved and honored to accept a $1.5 million gift on behalf of the class during a special reunion dinner, Oct. 6.
”As I scan this room and see so many of you – the proud members of the Class of 1962 – I can’t help but feel your own passion and pride for Wittenberg,” Joyner said. “You know that Wittenberg transformed you in ways you could never have imagined 50 years ago. You are also here as models for alumni engagement at the highest level. In all that you do, you show the face of Wittenberg. Whether you are investing in Wittenberg, attending events or contributing your time and talent, you are indicating that your education mattered to you. And your presence here this evening is truly a gift to Wittenberg.”
