In a typical semester, more than 100 adult students follow the day schedule, in whole or in part. They pursue a variety of majors, including Art, Biology, Computer Science, Education, English, History, Management, Psychology, Sociology, and others. The day contingent also includes adult students of teacher education since virtually all courses in Education and in the majors relating to high school licensure are offered only in the daytime.
Adult day students carrying 12 credits or more in a semester are considered full-time.
Students choosing the Evening option may study part-time or full-time and may mix evening and day courses. Those carrying 12 credits or more in a semester are considered full-time. Learn more in our Costs and Financial Aid section. Evening Schedule and Course Descriptions.
Courses leading to the B.A. Degree Concentration in Organizational Leadership, certificate programs in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources are available only as evening/weekend options.
Summer courses, whether day or evening, include the same total of cumulative hours as regular semester courses, and virtually all the instructors are regular faculty. More than 400 students enroll in these courses, engaging in a variety of learning experiences, including on-campus courses, field studies in distant places, independent study and directed research projects, and internships. The summer courses are compressed into a shorter timeframe, but class sizes averaging about 10 – are ideal for individualized learning.
