January 6, 2022

Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Prior to the start of in-person classes on January 18, 2022, all students, faculty, and staff must provide proof of a COVID-19 test. Wittenberg University will provide on-campus testing events for faculty, staff, and students.

Testing for Employees

On Tuesday, January 11th, there will be a free COVID-19 testing event in the HWA 1929 Gymnasium from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. for employees. If you cannot attend the on-campus testing event, please send proof of PCR or proctored antigen test results to HR Coordinator Rebecka Schlake at schlaker@wittenberg.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 14th. Questions related to employee testing can be sent to hure-mail@wittenberg.edu.

Testing for Students

On Saturday, January 15, and Sunday, January 16, there will be free COVID-19 testing events in the HWA 1929 Gymnasium from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. for Wittenberg students. If you cannot attend an on-campus testing event, please send proof of PCR or proctored antigen test results to deanofstudents@wittenberg.edu. Residential students must provide proof of test taken within 48 hours of move-in. Commuter students must provide proof of test taken within 48 hours of the first day of in-person classes. Any student approved to stay on campus for winter break or approved to move-in early may participate in the January 11th testing event, should you already be on campus. Winter and spring athletes that were tested upon your early arrival do not need to participate in the testing events the week of January 10th unless otherwise directed to do so.

QR CodeWalk-ins are welcome for all three testing events. However, you can pre-register for your COVID-19 test. Pre-registration will help with wait times at the event.

If QR code is blocked, please follow this link: https://req.accureference.com/admin/email/template/get/24/1

The event is free for students and employees. The tests administered are PCR tests. Participants can expect results within 48 hours.

Please note: Your insurance information will be collected as the free testing is funded through the CARES Act. The testing event may be reported to your insurance, and you may receive an explanation of benefits. However, you will not receive a bill for services.

Sincerely,

The COVID Response Team
