Attendance Policy Update (Feb. 10, 2021):

Wittenberg University's Department of Athletics has announced that beginning the weekend of Feb. 12-14, limited spectator access will be permitted at home games for indoor sports in Pam Evans Smith Arena and the 1929 ​Fieldhouse. Wittenberg students, faculty, and staff members can sign up in advance to attend games, in addition to guests of players and coaches. Read More

Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to present evolving challenges to our campuses and communities, Wittenberg University, in conjunction with the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Presidents’ Council, has suspended all intercollegiate competition through December 31, 2020. Read More

Athletics Updates

The Department of Athletics & Recreation announced July 20 that the following facilities are now open. Detailed information on accessibility and restrictions are outlined below for each facility:

  1. HWA Strength Center
  2. HWA Fitness Center
  3. HWA 1929 Fieldhouse Gymnasium
  4. HWA Steemer Indoor Track & Field
  5. HWA Stadium Outdoor Track & Field
  6. HWA Tennis Complex
  7. HWA Natatorium -- **Opening date still to be determined

As a reminder, all patrons must undergo a symptom check in the HWA Lobby upon arrival, prior to entering any of the available athletic facilities and all patrons and staff members MUST be prepared to wear face coverings, based on activity, as per Wittenberg’s current policy regarding students, employees, and visitors. Patrons will be required to provide their own face covering, water bottle, and towel for use during their workout. No locker rooms or showering facilities will be available to patrons in Phase 2.

Wittenberg University, along with the members of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), have worked diligently over the past two months to devise a safe and responsible return to campus and more specifically a return to sport plan for the 2020 fall athletic season.
