We hope the beginning of your summer is going well! The COVID-19 Response Team (CRT) continues to strongly encourage students and employees to get vaccinated. In addition, the CRT continues to evaluate our current protocols to mitigate the risk of the COVID-19 virus on campus. If our campus can reach a point where 75% of our students are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, we will have more flexibility for offerings on campus in the fall. At present, 55% of our returning students have reported that they have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
Like the State of Ohio, Wittenberg will offer incentives to students that report their vaccination status to us. Any student that is fully vaccinated will be entered in a weekly drawing for prizes.
Each week, three financial aid grants will be awarded. The grants will be applied to your 2021-2022 Wittenberg tuition and related costs.*

Winners will be drawn each Monday beginning June 7 through August 9. To be eligible and automatically entered into the drawing, students must register their vaccine information with Wittenberg by the Friday immediately preceding the drawing (Example: Register by June 4 for the June 7 drawing). Students who have previously registered their vaccine in the housing portal are automatically entered into the drawing. You will not need to re-register each week. Students can win only one award.
Students can register their vaccine information via the housing portal. The housing portal is open for all student regardless of whether or not they reside in University housing.
Log into the housing portal with your Wittenberg credentials.
- Select forms and applications.
- Select COVID vaccine registration.
- Complete all fields.
Each Monday, staff will contact the student winners so that the students can provide verified proof of their vaccination (scanned copy/photo of vaccine card). Proof of vaccination must show that two shots of Pfizer or Moderna have been received, or one shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. We may also verify vaccination through CCCHD records. Winners will be announced to campus each Wednesday.**

*If the vaccine award is in excess of a student winner’s tuition and required fee balance on their student account, the student may apply for a refund. You may visit WittenbergOne.com to review or update your refund preference. Taxes may apply.
**Student winners will be asked to sign waivers granting Wittenberg permission to publish their names as recipients of the grant dollars.
