Changes In Testing Protocols

WITT Header

March 25, 2022

Wittenberg Community,

In light of the high vaccination rate among students, faculty, and staff, Clark County’s low community case level as defined by the CDC, and the low case load on campus, the COVID Response Team has concluded that it is safe for us to move to voluntary testing for all unvaccinated students and employees effective immediately.

Be advised that Wittenberg is continuing to monitor COVID’s impact worldwide and will return to COVID-related restrictions and mandatory testing protocols should the health and safety of our community warrant such a return.

Voluntary testing will be available next Tuesday, March 29, from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the HWA. The COVID Response Team will then evaluate next steps with regard to future testing offerings.

As a reminder, we remain a face-covering-friendly campus, which means that other than in circumstances (classrooms or events) where the organizer or faculty/staff member has specified wearing a face covering as a requirement, the decision to wear or not wear one is up to the individual. Those who wish to wear a face covering and those who choose not to should be supported in their decision.

Sincerely,

The COVID Response Team
