Currently, the COVID-19 vaccination plan outlined by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is moving into Phase 1B. Further information about this phase can be found here.
The COVID-19 Response Team (CRT) receives weekly updates from the Clark County Combined Health District (CCCHD) regarding the ODH vaccination plan operations and eligibility. The CRT intends to update the campus community regarding changes as soon as the information is available. Based on current understanding from ODH, college and university faculty and staff will not be in an early phase of vaccination as designated at this time.
In anticipation of possible questions from our community, we are providing the following answers:
- Wittenberg University will not mandate vaccines for students or employees in spring of 2021.
- Wittenberg University employees have the option to share if they have been vaccinated for COVID-19. Should employees choose to do so, please email email@example.com.
- Wittenberg University continues to explore expectations for students to report receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine.
- Even if you receive two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, everyone must continue to use all the tools available to us to stop the pandemic. This includes continuing to cover your mouth and nose with a mask, washing hands often, and staying at least 6 feet away from others.
