Visiting Director, Minotaur
Yari Cervas is a director/dramaturg and teaching artist inspired by restorative justice, queerness, and trauma recovery. They’ve collaborated with numerous organizations including South Coast REP, La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, San Diego REP, Berkeley REP, A.C.T., Magic Theatre, and as the founding Artistic Director of MaArte Theatre Collective produced, developed, and directed award-winning new work by emerging Pilipinx playwrights. As a teacher in the Bay Area, they create playful curricula for all ages using anti-racist strategies to empower students with compassion and creativity.
