• SCOTT DOOLEY, associate professor of art and director of the Ann Miller Gallery, was represented in the Springfield Museum of Art 62nd Annual Members Jured Exhibition. Two of his ceramics pieces are currently available in the online photo gallery.

• ANDY WADDLE, assistant football coach, was the subject of an article titled "Witt's Waddle Teaches Football in Germany," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, July 24. The article discussed Waddle's trip to Germany from June 17-28 to work as an instructor at the Kaiserslautern Youth Tackle Football Camp. Read more ...

• DAN FLEISCH associate professor of physics, wrote A Student's Guide to Maxwell's Equations, which is in it's third printing after only six months. The book has earned five stars and rave reviews on Amazon.com, and it has been hard to keep in stock. Read more ... The reception the book received was discussed in an article titled "Witt Professor Enjoying Book's Success," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, July 21. Read more ...

• LOUIS LAUX, professor emeritus of biology, spoke at Champaign Land Preservation's July 13 Local Foods Dinner, Barbecue at the Barn. Read more ...

• THOMAS P. MARTIN, professor of health, fitness and sports, was mentioned in an article titled "Washington Township Man Wants to Climb to the Highest Point in all 50 States," which appeared in the Reading Eagle, Reading, Pa., June 30. The article discussed the Martin Classification of Difficulty, that rates the high points on a scale of one to 10 and was developed by Martin.

• KEN IRWIN, reference librarian, was quoted in an article titled "Strangers on Your Couch," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, June 28. The article discussed Couchsurfing.com, and the question of offering accommodations in a private home or taking advantage of such an opportunity while traveling. Potential dangers in using Internet resources were also mentioned.

• JEFF ANKROM, left, and DAVID WISHART, professors of economics, were mentioned in an article titled "Community Effort Seeks to Save Antioch’s Curl Gym," which appeared in the Yellow Springs News, June 12. The article discussed a business plan they were developing based on survey results that was slated for completion in early July. Wishart was also quoted in an article titled "Nation's Economy Has that '70s Look," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, July 21.
