Wittenberg offers a range of scholarships and financial aid options to make education affordable and accessible to adult students.
2025-26 Tuition & Rates
- Non-Traditional Student Tuition: $450 per Semester Credit
- Registration & Support Fee: $60 per term (Fall/Spring semesters only)
- Non-Traditional Course Audit Tuition: $200 per semester credit
- Lifelong Learning (up to 19 credits, audit only): $200 per term
Payment Options
Wittenberg University offers adult students several options to manage their money for college with maximum convenience and flexibility. We encourage students to register well in advance of each term, but we do not require tuition payment until we issue a statement. For more information about paying your bill, click here.
Financial Aid Awards & Grants
Federal Direct Student Loan (FDSL) remains an accessible source of funding for most adult students. There are two categories—subsidized and unsubsidized—with eligibility determined by need and other factors.
To apply for a Federal Direct Student Loan, students must first the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Then, after consultation with the Wittenberg Financial Aid Office, apply online. Processing time is usually one week or less.
Adult Access Award (AAA)
The Adult Access Award assists adult students at the middle and lower income levels who do not have employer-paid or VA tuition benefits and do not qualify for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. Grants are awarded in the amounts of $38/$62/$85 per credit (depending on need), up to a maximum of 12 credits for each term. Adult Access Awards may be renewed for up to four years, so long as the student is maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Eligibility. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Students in good standing with the community college honorary society Phi Theta Kappa may qualify for a half tuition scholarship, up to 12 credit hours. In cases where various forms of grant aid, including the PTK award, constitute a sum that exceeds the total cost of tuition, the PTK award will be scaled back to the amount which produces that total figure. The Phi Theta Kappa scholarship may be renewed for up to four years, so long as the student is maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Eligibility.
Pell Grants
Pell grants are limited to students who have a relatively low income or whose circumstances indicate substantial need.
Tuition Tax Credits
Depending on your income (or your family’s income, if you are a dependent), whether you were considered full or half-time enrolled, and the amount of your qualified educational expenses for the year, you may be eligible for a federal education tax credit.
