The Wittenberg Series

Now celebrating its 42nd season, the Wittenberg Series offers a selection of cultural activities available to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community.

All events are admission-free, and doors open 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each one. All facilities are accessible without climbing stairs. Questions, including inquiries about audio-description and interpreters, may be sent to wittseries@wittenberg.edu.

Recipient of the 2026 Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Teaching, Dr. Richard Phillips is a wildlife ecologist who uses humor and experiential learning opportunities to inspire his students in their study of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Phillips teaches courses in ecology, evolution, and wildlife management and serves as the director of the First Year Research (FYRA) program.
