- ComAbstracts - Basic index to journal articles on communication
- Academic Search Complete - indexes about 1800 periodicals; full text for many. Includes academic journals as well as popular magazines.
- Social Science Citation Index - indexes and abstracts of articles in the social scieces, including links to related articles (citing or cited by the article in question).
- Nexis Uni - indexes many newspapers back as far as 20 years; almost all full text
- SocINDEX - covers major journals in the field of sociology
- PsycInfo - Psychological Abstracts online, 1967-
- Business Source Complete - Extensive index to business and management periodicals; some full text
