Presidential Alumni Tour Kicks Off Today

Wittenberg’s 16th President, Dr. Christian M. M. Brady, will visit 17 locations

Ushering in a new era of visionary leadership, Dr. Christian M. M. Brady, 16th President of Wittenberg University, looks to connect with alumni and friends during a Presidential Alumni Tour, which will include stops in 17 locations from January to June.

Coordinated by the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, the tour will offer opportunities for participants to meet with the president, hear updates from Wittenberg, and engage in open conversation about the University’s exciting future with a special Q&A. Accompanying Dr. Brady at select stops will also be First Lady Elizabeth Brady.

The tour kicks off today, January 9, with a visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event is being hosted at the Pittsburgh Golf Club from 6-9 p.m. President Brady will make remarks beginning at 6:30 p.m. More than 570 Wittenberg alumni currently call the Pittsburgh area home.

Next up, President Brady will travel to Washington, D.C., where close to 1,100 alumni reside, for an event on January 31. Moving into February, he will head to Seattle, Los Angeles, and then overseas for a special visit to Wittenberg, Germany, home of the University’s popular study-abroad program, Feb. 26 to March 6.

After Germany, President Brady lands in Florida for several events, including ones in West Palm Beach, Miami, Naples, Tampa, and Sarasota before going to New York City and Atlanta, Georgia, March 25 and March 28, respectively. April will be all about Ohio with events scheduled for April 15, 18, and 30 in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, respectively. Then, in May, President Brady will check out Chicago and Indianapolis on the 2nd and 21st.  June includes stops in Denver and Boulder, Colorado, before heading back home to meet with Springfield and Dayton alumni and friends on June 20 at local venue Mother Stewart’s.

In only his first six months at Wittenberg, President Brady has instilled a renewed sense of excitement and hope among the University’s alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, and families, while commencing a strategic planning process, partnering on new recruitment pipelines, securing major gifts, and hiring excellent leadership in enrollment management and philanthropy and alumni engagement to help advance the University’s mission. This tour offers a chance to share in Wittenberg forward momentum.
