Lumela everyone! Can’t wait to see you all in 10 days! Today we had a restful morning getting to catch up on some sleep. After a late breakfast we listened to a presentation by Solar Med. This really allowed us to connect a couple things we have learned/done here. Starting with TTL, Solar Med has some outreach doctors that work with them. But we also learned new things like they have a mobile clinic that is totally free and goes to 15 districts once each month. They test, treat and even transport people right then and there. After that we got into tourist mode and went to the Basotho Hat. We all found so many fun trinkets and gift to bring back to you. From there we ventured to the mall for lunch and some more shopping! Let me just say the burgers here are on another level. After that we headed back to the new lodge (super fancy btw) for about 2 hours of free time before we head out for a night on the town and some pizza! So, for now Sala hantle and we can’t wait to see you soon!

Hi Mom, Dad, Aidan, and Charlie,
I miss you all so much and I can’t wait to see you soon. Yesterday was a sad day we left Ramabanta which has become like a second home to me. Sorry Mom but I would stay in Ramabanta forever if I could but don’t worry I would have you come with me. This was not a goodbye though this was a see you soon. After a great night sleep, we were fortunate to have a late breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! After our breakfast we had a little bit of time and then we had a speaker from Solidar Med. It was very interesting to hear hour TTL, and LNI all connect to Solidar Med. Solidar Med serves 2 districts in Lesotho (Buta-Bute and Maseru). These two districts have 110 staff members that are all Basotho, which I thought was very interesting and important. Solidar Med has been in Lesotho for over 100 years. Solidar Med has three main projects. They have a mobile health unit, early childhood education, and adolescent/youth empowerment program. I also learned that they head a few big research projects. Including focusing on HIV, TB and non-communicable disease like diabetes and hypertension. It was very interesting to see how all the different programs interconnect and work together to better serve the Basotho people. After our lecture we then turned into tourist. We headed to the Basotho Hat where we did some craft shopping. Then we headed to the Maseru Mall to do more shopping. Here I got a Basotho blanket, snacks, trinkets and of course wine! Don’t worry I got all of you something.
When we get back though no one can let Maddy, and I go shopping together because we both could shop till we drop. We may have a slight issue with shopping. Oh and I can’t forget that we ate at Wimpy’s and wow it was sooooo good. I got a cheeseburger, french fries and a strawberry milkshake. After we got back from the mall we went for a short run. It was very different running here because it was FLAT, woohoo. We then got showered and now were getting ready to go to Café What? for dinner. I am super excited to go to Café What because it was so much fun last year, and the pizza was soooo good. I can’t wait to see you all, especially Nova. Charlie don’t forget to pick me up from the airport.
I love you to Pluto and back!
