Advocate Toolkit FAQs

What is Commit to Witt?

Commit to Witt is Wittenberg University's annual day of giving. It is an opportunity to pass our light and give back to this institution. Our goal each year is for the Wittenberg community to come together in order to make an immediate impact on current and future Tigers.

Can anyone participate in Commit to Witt?

Absolutely. Support from the entire Tiger community and beyond is what makes Wittenberg University a remarkable place!

What is an advocate?

Advocates are Wittenberg's peer leaders who share messages and create excitement about Commit to Witt before and during the day. With an investment of a few minutes, advocates help spread awareness — asking their network to participate in Commit to Witt using their preferred forms of communication: social media, email, text, and phone.

  • Join an important tradition: Commit to Witt has become an impactful new tradition as a way for community members to show their support for Wittenberg University.
  • Every gift matters: You can make a gift of $5 or more to participate in Commit to Witt.
  • Make your gift go further: During Commit to Witt, you’ll see a variety of challenges. Often sponsored by fellow alumni, these are opportunities to maximize your gift’s impact by unlocking additional funds for your favorite areas of campus.
  • Help all areas: This is your opportunity to pass your light by supporting Wittenberg with gifts to multiple areas. From department funds and scholarships to facility improvements and faculty support, gifts made during Commit to Witt impact every aspect of this great place.

Yes. Because each Commit to Witt is different, you'll need to sign up again this year even if you've been an advocate in previous day of giving. Please use the sign-up form on this year's Commit to Witt page at wittenberg.edu/commit2witt.

We encourage you to sign up early to make sure you have access to all of the advocate resources, but you can sign up at any point before Commit to Witt ends on March 19.

You can see who has made a gift by logging in to the advocate dashboard. Both will be on the right side of the dashboard.

Sorry, we aren't able to attribute gifts not made through an advocate account to an advocate link.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to track how many other advocates have signed up using your link.

Please email the Commit to Witt Advocate Team at wittfund@wittenberg.edu with any additional questions.
