Putting Constituents First

Chad Minnick ’98 named new Executive Director of Engagement and Annual Giving

Wittenberg University is pleased to announce that Chad Minnick, class of 1998, has been named the University’s new executive director of engagement and annual giving in the Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement. Minnick, who currently serves as president of the Wittenberg Alumni Association Board, will assume his new responsibilities March 16.

“We are excited to welcome Chad to the team," said Vice President for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Michael McGreevey. "His diverse professional background, combined with his strong connection to Wittenberg, will help strengthen our engagement efforts and advance the University during this important time.”

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Minnick began his professional career in higher education, including two years at Wittenberg where he supported alumni relations and annual giving. He later moved into the technology sector where he built a successful career focused on customer engagement and communication solutions with an eye toward qualitative and quantitative data and analytics at such companies as SAP Concur, Infoblox and Amperity, among others.

An expert in developing frameworks, programs, and content for every stage of the customer lifecycle to increase engagement, retention, and satisfaction, Minnick approaches everything through a customer-first lens and a desire to elevate the customer experience and build relationships with all constituents.

Active in his Seattle, Washington, community, including serving as national co-chair for North America Pride@SAP, as well as with Human Rights Campaign, Greater Seattle Business Association’s Scholarship Program, Out & Equal, and as a board member for Leadership Eastside, Minnick looks forward to returning to Springfield to serve his alma mater, where he took advantage of several opportunities to learn and grow during his student days. Back then, Minnick, who majored in psychology, was a member of the varsity swimming & diving team, a leader in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, a member of the Wittenberg Choir, and a tour guide and intern in the Office of Admission.

“Wittenberg literally helped shape me into the person I am today,” Minnick said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity, reconnecting with alumni and friends to continue to shape the lives of current and future Tigers.”

Minnick will be relocating back to Ohio with his husband Alex. His son, Liam Casey-Minnick, is a lieutenant in the Army.

With Minnick joining the team at the Bayley Alumni House on campus, Stephanie Morgan-White, Wittenberg class of 1992 and current vice president of the Alumni Association Board, will take over as the Alumni Association Board president.
