Hi Mom, Dad, and everyone else at home! I miss you all so much! Today we woke up to snow! So, we got to have a snow day/morning and have breakfast then relax until the afternoon.
I got to read my book for a little bit then Sofia, Mack, Emily, Lindsay, Natalie, Jayla and I sorted through all of our donation bags to get them ready to donate. It was really fun to go through all the clothes we all brought to donate and see how many things we were able to bring to help! We had lunch after and then we had a language lesson with Lefu! He taught us so much! Lebitoso la ka ke Maddy. Fane ea ka ke Krasnow. Ke lilemo li 20. Ke lula Columbus. I just said "My name is Maddy. My last name is Krasnow. I am 20 years old. I am from Columbus" in Sesotho! After language lessons we went back to the Community Center to hangout with the kiddos again! It was so sweet to see them all run to us and hug us when they saw us! I hung out with my friend Mafusi the whole time and made a couple new friends as well. We played on the slide, monkey bars, tossed the ball around, and colored A LOT. After we hung out there for about 2 hours, we walked back and the kids walked back with us as well. It is really sweet to see how loving the kids are to us and how much they care about us for only knowing us for a day. I carried this little boy all the way back and he was giving me the biggest hug and just so happy the entire time and it made me so happy to see him so happy and content to just to be with us. We came back and had a delicious dinner and now we are all just hanging out and chatting about our day! I am so happy and grateful I get to be on this trip and learn so much! I am looking forward to the last 3 weeks! Can't wait to see you guys soon!

Hi everyone back at home!
Today we woke up to the most beautiful view of snow covered mountains. We ate breakfast and relaxed for the morning, taking a half snow day. We all brought an extra suit case of donation clothes. So this morning like Maddy said above some of us started sorting all the different clothes. We mostly brought baby clothes. It was so cute going through all the clothes and sorting them into different sizes. After sorting through the clothes we had a lovely lunch with peaches and cream for dessert! Then the Lefu gave us language lessons. He taught us how to say "Lebitso la ka ke Sofia. Fane ea ka ke Didone. Ke lilemo li 20. Ke lula Campbell." Sesotho is a pretty confusing language, some L's are pronounced as D's which has been kinda hard to get the hang of , but Lefu is a great teacher and he made the lesson very fun today! After language lessons we headed back to the community center where before arriving to the door we are met with smiling facing running into our arms. All the kids run full speed and welcome us each day with open arms. My friend Maseabata ran right up to me gave me a big hug, held my hand and walked me the rest of the way to the community center. There we played outside, colored, danced and talked. I learned a lot about my friend today, what she likes to do for fun and a typical day for her. I also learned today once you are their friend they tend to get a little jealous when other kids want to be your friend too. It is such a privilege and honor to be on this trip and be so welcomed into this community! I am so excited to see all the adventures to come!! See you soon!
Love you to the moon and back!
