2020-05-15 14:15:00 2020-05-15 14:15:00 America/New_York Baccalaureate One of the university's most beautiful buildings, Weaver Chapel, provides the setting for Wittenberg's Baccalaureate Service at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, May 11. The entire campus community, parents and friends are invited to attend this service. Planned by the university pastors and members of the senior class, the Baccalaureate Service lasts approximately an hour. Tickets are not required and graduates do not wear their academic regalia. Event Details All guests should be seated by 10:30 a.m. Exercises will take place in Commencement Hollow unless weather prevents it. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center. Tickets are required for an indoor ceremony. The Myers Hall Bell will ring twice during the morning to signify that the program will take place outdoors. Either way, all graduates will have the opportunity to #StompTheSeal. We are thrilled that you have chosen to continue your education at Wittenberg University. Destination Wittenberg: New Student Orientation Destination Wittenberg is the New Student Orientation program that helps first-time freshmen and transfer students begin to acclimate to life as a Wittenberg University scholar. This one-day program, held on campus, begins at 8:00 a.m. with check-in and concludes at 5:00 p.m. First-time freshmen and transfer scholars, and their families, are encouraged to participate in this program because it allows them to begin their successful transition to Wittenberg University. The program is designed to help scholars begin to identify their indentity as a Wittenberg scholar through sessions on academic and student life, tours of the Wittenberg campus, meeting with Wittenberg faculty and advisors, and connect with Wittenberg students and other members of the Wittenberg community.
