Sibs Weekend 2020

Magic, Movies, and More on Tap for Sibs Weekend

Magic, movies, and more are on the schedule for Wittenberg’s 2020 Sibs Weekend, an annual event planned by Union Board, the Office of Student Involvement, the Department of Athletics, and the Office of Residence Life that will take place Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.

While the younger relatives and friends of Wittenberg students are always welcome on campus,

Sibs Weekend is a week-long celebration that’s jam-packed with fun events dedicated to them. All students are welcome at the programs throughout the weekend, and it is also an amazing opportunity for these young people to have a taste of college life at Wittenberg.

Sibs Weekend begins with registration on Friday, Jan. 31, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the W tables in the

Benham-Pence Student Center. The events on Friday kick off with a dessert reception in Geil Lounge from 7:30-8 p.m. and an open swim in the campus pool from 7:30-9:30 p.m. At 8 p.m., the movie Shazam! will show in Founders, followed by the annual Build-A-Tiger event in Geil Lounge. Witt Late Night will also include other activities such as a photo booth and a paint-your-own frame station, accompanied by Tim Horton’s donuts, candy, a popcorn bar, and a hot chocolate bar.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, there will be campus tours beginning at 10:30 a.m., a pizza lunch at 12:30 p.m.,

followed by the women’s basketball game against Kenyon at 2 p.m. that Wittenberg students and their guests are welcome to attend. There will also be other activities going on in the 1929 Fieldhouse from 2-5 p.m. A highlight of the night will be a performance by magician Trent James from 8-9:30 p.m. The night finishes off with Residence Life activities in each resident hall from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.

On Sunday, Feb. 2, there will be a donut breakfast beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 11.

Sibs Weekend offers Wittenberg students a chance to share their Wittenberg experience with other young people in their life. Click here to register.
