Wittmen Crew

All-Male A Capella Group Celebrates 20 Years With Reunion Concert April 6

The Wittmen Crew has been a popular fixture at Wittenberg University since the group’s founding in 1999, delighting audiences with outstanding a cappella performances and, just as importantly, enriching the lives of its student members. On April 6, the Wittmen Crew will celebrate 20 years of musical innovation with a reunion event and a concert that is open to the public, free of charge.

The concert will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in Weaver Chapel and will feature performances by both current and alumni members of Wittmen Crew, an all-male a cappella group.

“We have about 40 alumni returning for the event,” said Drake Kobler ’21, the current treasurer of Wittmen Crew. “There will be lots of rehearsals on Friday and Saturday. There is a brunch and a post-concert reception for current and alumni members on Saturday to catch up and talk with each other.

“Alumni will also be singing in the concert with a large number of songs from the past, and the current group will sing four songs we’ve been working on for our spring concert.”

The Wittmen Crew 20th Reunion Concert takes place on the same day as two performances by Just Eve, Wittenberg’s all-female a cappella group. The annual spring concert for Just Eve is scheduled for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in Ness Family Auditorium in Hollenbeck Hall. Ticket prices are $3 for Wittenberg students for $5 for non-students.

The annual spring concert for Wittmen Crew is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Ness Auditorium. Ticket prices are $4 pre-sale and $5 at the door.
