Hi parents! Today was day two with TTL. We spent the afternoon in the safe house with the BABIES!! We loved seeing all of their different personalities shine through, even at such a young age. There were five babies' total, all were girls. Today we learned that all of the Lesotho people's names have meaning behind them unlike ours... one of the little girl's names meant happy and that was exactly how her personality was. She was constantly smiling! And you would DEF love her as much as we did!
Senate, means warrior princess which is the same name as the first king's eldest daughter and current king's wife. HOW COOL IS THAT! So, it's an honor to have that name. But this Senate... LOVEDD the phones. The peripheral vison was 10/10. She spotted a phone from a mile away and once it was in her sights, she was on a mission to get it. That's okay though she's just a girl and we kept her distracted:)) The distracting really only consisted of handing her a toy and her throwing it in the complete opposite direction because she wanted the phone. Best part of all was her little giggle and fisty personality!
After lunch, which was sooooo delicious, we went into town to get a little taste of Lesotho culture and see all of the different things sold in Mokhotlong. We got to look at the traditional Lesotho blankets that are often seen warn by the locals. Once we were finished, we headed back to our rooms and some of us went on a walk and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
This is by Kylah and Hannah but we forgot to add our names :)
