2nd Annual Wittenberg Analytics Symposium

On Tuesday, February 27, Wittenberg hosted the 2nd annual Analytics Symposium, welcoming to campus over 100 guests, representing professional organizations such as Honda, Nationwide, and CareSource, and universities such as Ohio State, Wright State, and Wittenberg, to name a few.

The morning schedule included presentations from Curtis Rowland (NASIC), Tim Wilson (Search Discovery), and Mark Birnbirch (Ohio Means Jobs). Curtis Rowland detailed how NASIC is currently utilizing analytics to help better protect the US against foreign threats. Tim Wilson provided a brief history of analytics, and Mark Birchbrich described how Ohio Means Jobs is using analytics data to help Ohioans gain employment.

In the afternoon, symposium participants enjoyed the opportunity to play with actual data sets provided by Ohio Means Jobs. The activity gave attendees from all industries and backgrounds a chance to interact and engage with fellow students and professionals, providing an instructive ending to a day filled with insight, collaboration, and idea sharing.

Wittenberg looks forward to hosting the 3rd annual Analytics Symposium in February 2019. More information will be published in the fall.
