PsycINFO: Indexes articles from over 1300 journals in psychology and related fields. (1967+)
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection: Indexing, abstracts, and some full text for articles in Psychology and related subjects.
Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print: Provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. Designed for an audience ranging from novice test consumers to experienced professionals, the MMY series contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership. Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. TIP provides vital information to users including test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication date(s), and test author(s).
MEDLINE: MEDLINE indexes over 3,900 periodicals in biomedicine and the life sciences.
Web of Science - Science Citation Index: This database allows for searching of cited references, so if you have an article and want to know who has cited it, this is the place to look.
Google Scholar: Google Scholar is best used in conjunction with other databases, but can be useful in finding preprints and working papers.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts: Index and full text for articles in information and library studies
ComAbstracts: Index to communcations articles.
Communication & Mass Media Complete: Indexing and some full text for articles in communication.
SocINDEX with Full Text: Index, abstracts, and full text covering sociology.
Sociological Collection: Index, abstracts, and full text covering sociology.
Education Research Complete: Index, abstracts, and full text, covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education.
ERIC: Indexes both educational documents (which have ED numbers) and educational journals (which have EJ numbers). Journal articles are fairly easy to get hold of; documents must be ordered through interlibrary loan -- the book form.
Academic Search Complete: Academic Search Complete is a multi-subject database containing both scholarly and popular publications. Some material is available in full-text. It is a good starting place for introductory level classes.
GenderWatch: Fulltext of publications that focus on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. Includes both scholarly and popular sources.

PERIODICALS

Periodicals are where most of the information for your research papers will come. Remember that there are scholarly publications as well as popular publications You will most likely want to stick to scholarly publications for your research. Journals the Library Has: Electronic & Print: This searchable and browsable list of Wittenberg's journal holdings contains the names and dates of all the journal to which we subscribe as well as location information.
Interlibrary Loan Article Request Form: Use Interlibrary Loan to request articles not owned at Wittenberg from other libraries. Please see the form for more details.

American Psychological Association: http://www.apa.org; Homepage for the APA. It is a good source for news and current issues in Psychology and also contains information about the organization itself.
PSI CHI: http://www.psichi.org/; Homepage of PSI CHI, The National Honor Society in Psychology.
