Wittenberg has embraced service in all its forms for nearly two centuries. It's ingrained in us, and it becomes a part of each and every student. It's why the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll has recognized Wittenberg nationally for more than a decade, and it's why we are among a select few to offer a Peace Corps Preparation Program. It's also why so many students seek our Wittenberg as their first college choice. They know what success really looks like, and so do we.
Inspired by his own Peace Corps experience, Professor of History Scott Rosenberg, who is featured in the above video, has since taken more than 350 students to Lesotho, which has changed their lives forever, so much so that the non-profit BLOOM Africa was established by Wittenberg alumni. Rosenberg currently serves as Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of Lesotho and AFDS Director Sub-Saharan Africas, as well as director of Wittenberg's Peace Corps Preparation Program.
