Finding Hidden Gems

Madeline Deichman, Class of '24

Wittenberg Students in DC“My semester in D.C. was filled with typical sightseeing - the Capitol Building, the Lincoln Memorial, and even the White House - and getting to know the District on a personal level and find its hidden gems, such as the narrowest house in America and all of the outstanding restaurants in Alexandria. As a history major, I found myself frequenting the National Museum of American History as well as seeking out lesser-known museums like the Museum of the Bible and the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum - though I barely scratched the surface. The Witt in Washington D.C. Semester program was the opportunity of a lifetime and the best part of my college experience!”
