Part-Time Instructor in Education
Originally from Elyria, Ohio, Kali moved to Springfield to graduate from Wittenberg University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Music Education (B.M.E.). She took classes with Dr. Bob Welker, who was beginning to form the Springfield Promise Neighborhood around Lincoln Elementary. After graduating, Kali served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Promise for three years, and then entered a staff role with the organization. In 2019, Kali was selected to be the next Executive Director of Springfield Promise Neighborhood.
In addition to Promise, Kali serves as the conductor of the Northminster Presbyterian Church Handbell Choir, is President of the Springfield branch of American Association for University Women, and participates in a local citizen’s group People for Safe Water. In her free time, she enjoys finding new ways to entertain her cats and getting on the bike paths.
