The William A. McClain Center for Diversity annually hosts this celebration and rite of passage for graduating seniors who are members of underrepresented ethnic groups. Students will be presented with a graduation stole, representing their cultural affinity, which may be worn at Commencement. Dinner will be provided. Registration is required.

More About The Hitimu-Multicultural Graduate Celebration:
Hitimu, meaning “graduate” in Swahili, is an opportunity for students to celebrate the accomplishment of graduation while honoring and celebrating the traditions of the cultural communities in which students belong. As part of the celebration, students will receive a graduation stole representing their cultural affinity, which they can wear at Commencement (if they choose) and keep as a token of their success and hopefully remind them of their journey at Witt.
Who can attend and register for this celebration?
Graduating seniors interested in participating in Hitimu should register using the provided links to register themselves and their guests. Guests can be anyone, including, but not limited to, family, chosen family, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.
