Matt currently serves as a Police Detective with the Wittenberg University Police Division and works as a crime scene technician. He also leads the Officer Field Training Program and is a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T). In addition, Matt is part of the C.A.R.E. team, which is dedicated to supporting students’ mental and physical well-being.
Matt began his career with the University in June 2013. Before joining Wittenberg, he served as a police officer with both the Springfield Police Division and the German Township Police Division.
Before entering law enforcement, Matt owned a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise, worked as a Training Coordinator with RRT Enterprises, and later retired as a private investigator. Along the way, he also became a licensed barber and continues to provide free services to first responders.
Outside of work, Matt is an avid skydiver who enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking.
