Housing and Host Families

The Host Family Program was instituted in 1986 to offer support and friendship to new international students. Since then, several hundred students have benefited from association with families in the Springfield area. Host families provide a glimpse of life away from campus for students who are thousands of miles from home. In return, many host families find the friendship with the international students both rewarding and educational.

The program is not residential. All new international students are required to live in Wittenberg residence halls and receive all the services offered to any other Wittenberg student.

Housing During Break

If there is any possibility that you will need housing over breaks, please select either Tower or Firestine Hall on your housing preference. These are the only two residence halls open during breaks. If you do not live in one of these residence halls and stay over winter break you will have to relocate to them. Please be aware the Tower hall is also substance free
