Associate Professor of Art
Koch Hall 205
My career has given me the chance to manage, teach and mentor, but most importantly develop as a designer with a great deal of vision and experience to share.
I earned my MFA from the University of Notre Dame and gained my professional experience at respected firms in Chicago and Saint Louis. My professional work before becoming a professor, focused on the development of communication material such as annual reports, identity, branding, interactive design, publishing and advertising. I have created work to meet the needs of clients such as the McArthur and Ford Foundations, Washington University in St Louis, Anheuser Busch/InBev, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, McGraw Hill and many more. As a designer and educator I have always worked to understand the larger picture and function of my projects, developing solutions that take advantage of the best method of communication for an individual project's needs either professionally or pedagogically. Throughout my career my work has been recognized in various competitions and publications.
Most recently my design work was recognized by the American Graphic Design Awards and was included in the Print Magazine Regional Design Annual.
