COVID-19: Information Technology FAQs

Information Technology Services has been working to make various resources available to students, faculty and staff that are currently working remotely. Below are the items currently available including links to complete instructions on how to use them.

Some of the resources available are limited in number.  We ask that you use these services as needed and release when no longer needed.  Additional services are in final stages of setup and will be announced shortly.  A separate message will be going to students in the morning.

Microsoft Office 365 Suite for Office software at home

Skype for Business

Moodle for on-line course work

Microsoft OneDrive for providing course materials

Virtual Desktops and Virtual Applications for access to certain applications

  • Virtual Desktops accessible to you off-campus are very limited and therefore if you do not need to use a full desktop for work, please do not use this option.
    • Allows you to access a desktop in a similar manner as if you sat down in front of a system on campus.
  • Virtual Application system is accessible to you off-campus and although we have more seats for this resource it is still a limited number.
  • Allows you to access software such as Mathematica, SPSS, Minitab, ArcGIS and Datatel WebUI
