Wittenberg’s rolling hills, welcoming hollows, and its vast treasure trove of trees spanning more than 100 acres have always captured the hearts of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Among America's most beautiful college campuses, Wittenberg has invested in its tree-rich environment since 1845, trimming and caring for its arboreta across generations. Those efforts were recognized in June 2024 when the campus’ collection of trees was certified as an official arboretum by ArbNet, an international program of accreditation.
