Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mini-Grants 2021

Program Goal

In collaboration with the Division of Student Development and William A. McClain Center for Diversity, the Wittenberg University Student Senate will provide ten grants (maximum of $1,000 each) to faculty, staff, students, campus departments or registered student organizations to implement projects and/or activities that promote the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus. These mini-grants are intended for small scale initiatives that require quick access to funds. The funds will be a resource for ideas and opportunities that present during the fiscal year and can be executed with short-term planning.

Funds must be expended by June 1, 2022.  Ideally, funds will be expended in the fiscal year in which an award is granted.

Eligibility

Students, faculty, and staff are eligible to apply. Student organizations, campus departments, and staff units are encouraged to apply for the grant.  

Program Criteria

The goals of the project must advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at Wittenberg University with a focus on improving the campus climate and sense of belonging on campus. The Diversity Mini-Grants will prioritize projects which are collaborative across units, departments, and organizations.

Potential Uses of the Mini-Grant

Examples of projects that could be funded include: training, workshops, forums, films, outreach activities, and development of printed materials or media about diversity, equity, or inclusion within your unit.
