Robbin Nicol, Director of Licensure and Student Placement and Adjunct Faculty Member for the Education Department joined the University in January 2015 as a University Supervisor supervising student teachers. She is presently the instructor for the Early Childhood Practicum and is in charge of placing students out in the schools as a part of their course work and for their student teaching. She also assists in directing students with regard to licensure in Ohio. Robbin loves this new adventure. From the moment she stepped foot on campus she fell in love with Wittenberg's beautiful campus. One of her biggest joys is working with the students and faculty.

Robbin is a retired teacher of 35 years, most of which she spent in Urbana City Schools. She taught preschool through 1st grade over her career and loved being in the classroom. She was recognized at the local and state level for her teaching. Robbin has led opportunities for professional development and trainings for staff in her county and at the state level as well. It was always a dream of hers to someday work at a University and be a part of helping new students become teachers.

Robbin earned her B. A. in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University and her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Wright State University. Early Childhood is her area of passion and she has been a long time member of NAEYC, making it her life's work to study the field of Early Childhood. Robbin lives in Urbana with her husband Brian and two dogs Annie and Maggie. She has two sons, Cory, from Phoenix, Arizona and Andy from Urbana.
