SPARK Conference Speakers

As a part of Wittenberg's 2018 Homecoming celebration, the Office of Student Involvement will host SPARK: Sharing Passion, Authenticity, and Responsible Knowledge, on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. in Post 95 in the Benham-Pence Student Center. Speakers will share their connection to calling and talk passionately about knowledge they wish to pass on to others. We have six student SPARK speakers who will be featured this semester. They will share their Ted-talk styled SPARK focused on a variety of topics.

  • Charlotte Hurst is a sophomore at Witt who is involved all over campus. She is a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority, Vice President of Student Senate, and a Union Board Programmer. Charlotte has been to over 17 different countries and says traveling is her greatest passion. She is very excited to speak and hopes that others find her talk valuable since she will be speaking on embracing new opportunities.

  • Breanna Winters is an Intern in the Office of Admissions, a Student Leader Fellow, a member of Cru, and a member of the Club Volleyball team. She is excited to speak about her hands-on experiences in Kenya this summer. Bre will be speaking about International Development, Education, and Women’s Rights Advocacy.

  • Jack Hollinshead is a sophomore double-major who is studying Sports Management and Finance. He is a member of the Men’s Baseball Team as well as a Community Service Scholar. He is excited to speak about finding ones passion and will talk about the non-profit he created in order to find his calling.

  • Eliot Gleeson is a junior Communication major from Lexington, Kentucky. He very active on campus being involved in Wittmen Crew, an RHA Senator, the Witt Late Night Advisory Team, and being an RA in Firestein. Eliot is excited to talk about taking a year off from school to do service work and how it impacted him.

  • Jubileen Kombe is a junior Psychology major from Tanzania. She is involved on campus as the President of Shades of Pearls.  When she is not studying and acting as president, she enjoys mediation and practicing mindfulness. Jubileen is excited to speak about Seasons of Discomfort and also take herself out of her comfort zone for this event.

  • Loie Greenwood is a senior Psychology and Marketing double-major from Columbus, Ohio. He plays an active role on campus being the Vice-President of Phi Kappa Psi, a member of C.A.B.L.E., a Student Leader Fellow, a Tour Guide, a Consultant for the Oral Communication Center, and he was nominated for the Alma Lux Award. Loie is excited to speak about is pre-college struggles and using Wittenberg to find the inner-passions in his life.
