Wittenberg University's Marine Science program offers many opportunities for field study, which are practical, hands-on experiences that often lead to more extensive collaborative research projects with faculty members. One of the most popular field study experiences takes place in The Bahamas.

This morning, on June 2, 2014, we travelled to Fortune Hill Beach, which is an extension of East Beach.  The beach is more open than others because of the heavy winds that come in from the northeast.
Swimming
Today is Sunday June 1, 2014. We started the morning by waking up for a breakfast that consisted of pancakes and bacon (we were really excited about this!).

Some people say that they are “living the dream”, but today we have concluded that you are not living the dream until you visit Grotto Beach. We are living the dream down here in San Salvador.

Today on Friday May 30, 2014 we started out with a French toast breakfast before heading across the street to Queens Highway in order to study the local plants.

The date is May 28th, 2014. Our day begin as most days do with breakfast in the GRC cafeteria, followed by our usual gathering in one of the many blue trucks at the research center.
Snorkelers
Today is Tuesday, the 27th of May. As always, we started our day by waking up for a hardy breakfast at 07:30am. After breakfast we had a short hour break before loading our snorkeling gear onto the truck.
Cave
Today is Monday, May 26, 2014. We travelled to two different locations today, East Beach and Lighthouse Cave. At East Beach our objective was to observe the open beach community and to identify the different plants present there.
