Seasonal Music Opportunities

Summer 2019 Music Opportunities

Bayley Summer Music Academy

The Wittenberg University Center for Musical Development is offering a summer music enrichment program for talented music students 3rd grade age and up; or who have completed a year of lessons or group experience. The program will take in Wittenberg’s Music Building, Krieg Hall, 734 Woodlawn Avenue, Springfield, Ohio. Students will be placed in small groups to receive both individualized and small ensemble instruction focusing on refining instrument techniques.

Special activities will focus on music reading skills using a variety of instruments and fun techniques. Students meet together for the last session of the day and work on ensemble pieces that will be performed on the last day’s recital.

Music for Little Mozarts

Music for Little Mozarts is a music and movement class filled with fun adventures for 4-6 year-olds. The class is designed to guide the children in singing, dancing, and classroom instrument instruction to prepare them for future music lessons. An instrument is not required at home. We will make homemade drums and egg shakers in class that can be taken home at the last session. Join us as we embark on a journey with Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear as they discover the joy of music.
